Sweet Soy Garlic Sauce

Although this sauce was difficult to photograph - it's quite glossy and reflective - it is a breeze to make and can be used on fish, chicken or even pork.  It's sweet, it's salty, it's delicious.

But I'm sure it does not surprise you that me, Jenn of Jenn's Food Journey, would post a recipe for a delicious sauce.

Some people don't like surprises, so I like to have as little as them as possible... don't want to lose any followers, you know :)

Sweet Soy Garlic Sauce
Adapted from America's Test Kitchen Best Ever Recipes
Makes about 1/3 cup
Printable Recipe
Ingredients:
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 Tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
1 Tablespoon water
1 large garlic clove, minced
1 1/2 teaspoons rice vinegar
1 teaspoon Sriracha

Directions:
Simmer all ingredients together in a small saucepan over medium heat until syrupy, about 5 minutes.  Let cool at room temperature before serving.  Serve over chicken, pork, or fish.  Enjoy!

This is the kind of condiment that should always be in the fridge, you never know when that salty sweet craving is gonna hit and this would fit the bill nicely! Yeah, gonna have to make up some of this today!

glossy things are 100% difficult to photograph! My husband makes something similar to this! Just pass me a straw...that's how I feel!
